Rethinking Scripture is the work of Gregory D. Hall, DMin. I am first and foremost a husband (to my first wife… and high-school sweetheart) and father (to two “twenty-something” young men). I’ve been an adjunct Bible professor (George Fox University, Corban University, Reach Training Institute). With the 2023 release of “Rethinking Rest: Why Our Approach to Sabbath Isn’t Working”, I became a published author!
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Pacific Lutheran University (Tacoma, WA), Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Faith Seminary (Tacoma, WA), and Doctor of Ministry (DMin) in Biblical Preaching and Teaching from Knox Theological Seminary (Ft. Lauderdale, FL).
I’ve been a college athlete, public school teacher, real estate broker, board president, small business entrepreneur, ordained minister, and a university professor.
I’ve also had the privilege of taking several tour groups to Israel & Jordan. For those who have been, you understand how a trip like that radically changes the way one reads and understands Scripture. Those trips, and the training I’ve had in the Greek and Hebrew languages, have really opened my eyes to the theological “man behind the curtain”.
I teach whenever I can and I write when I find time. I’m excited to share somewhat unique thoughts about the liminal ministry of the incarnate Christ.
